Brazil’s latest downtown large artwork is complete

There are four large pieces of art in this area that remind of us our roots in the Valley and in Clay County. Becky Hochhalter of Terre Haute finished the beautiful mural on the east side of the Alabama Bar & Grill on Tuesday. Earlier this year she completed restoration of the Clabber Girl billboard on U.S. 40 near Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, the oldest piece of outdoor advertising in Indiana that for decades reminded motorists they were “5 minutes from Terre Haute.”...

The 2019 Clay County Fair Pageant will be held this Saturday, July 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Clay City High School. Admission is $5.00 and doors open at 6:00 p.m.. This photo of the current queen and princess was taken on June 7 at the Meet and Greet. This was an informative event to kick off the pageant festivities hosted by the 2018 Clay County Fair Queen Alisha Long and the 2018 Clay County Fair Princess Sierra Paul along with their mothers.
