Unmanned aerial vehicles are fast becoming a part of industry and economy in several areas. Drones have been used to assist in emergency rescues, tracking damage in agricultural landscapes, and to assist in keeping local mapping efforts up to date. On October 15th, Purdue Extension, the Sweet Owen Woodlands Network, and McCormick’s Creek State Park will host a program demonstrating the use of drones in mapping invasive species spread and taking forest inventory through planned flight and high-resolution imagery.. ...
