The philanthropic group, 100 Women Who Care Clay County, voted to grant $6,600 to Be Nice Be Kind at their December 11, 2019 meeting. The mission of Be Nice Be Kind is “to inspire, motivate, and equip people to simply be nice and be kind. We want all people, especially our youth, to know that they have the support of the community without prejudice; we want to bring the experience of loving kindness to as many people as possible.” As a program for the organization, tutoring and training is provided to students to inspire, motivate, and achieve positive results for the youth of Clay County.. ...

Brazil man pleads guilty to child molesting charges, some dating back to 2002

A Brazil man pled guilty to three felony charges of child molesting in Clay Superior Court Wednesday. Harley Wilbur Wilson III, 42, was sentenced by Senior Judge Blaine Akers after the judge accepted a plea agreement arranged on Wilson’s behalf by Defense Attorney Michael S. Brewer and Clay County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Zachary Clapp.

River Rat Rodders Car Club to have car show this year

Robert Hardman received permission for the River Rat Rodders Car Club of Greencastle to have a car show in Forest Park on August 22nd. Proceeds will go to help a local person or to the Clay County Youth Food Delivery Program. There will be free admission for the public; the entry fee for cards will be $15.
