Genealogical Society receives grant from Clay County Community Foundation.

The Clay County Genealogical Society recently received a $2,400 grant from the Clay County Community Foundation. By receiving this grant, outdated computers were replaced with two new computer stations. With this new equipment, patrons visiting the Genealogy Library can access the materials available at the library and genealogical programs on the Internet. Edgar Maurice Schofield, 60, of Carbon, Indiana passed away unexpectedly, on February 12, 2020, at Union Hospital. Edgar was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 13, 1959, the son of Edgar Eugene and Virginia (Robbins) Schofield. He graduated from Emmerich Emmanuel High School with the class of 1978. He worked at Mechanics Laundry, as a general manager for Burger King for many years and worked at Great Dane, in Brazil before retiring due to health issues...
