Indiana FSSA has joined forces with Feeding Indiana’s Hungry to encourage Hoosiers to answer the urgent call to volunteer at one of Indiana’s food banks and other charitable food distribution sites. Since we first placed this call to service on Sept. 14, more than 450 Hoosiers have volunteered! But several hundred more are still needed to help fully staff our state’s food banks as members of the Indiana National Guard end their temporary, six-month deployment...

Tomorrow is the last day of September. Fifty-eight years ago, I gave birth to our third child at Clay County Hospital. Oh, what a joy she has been to Paul and I and her sister Starla Gail. She lives miles away now in Littleton Co. In the morning, her phone will ring, and as per tradition, her dad and I usually sing the birthday song to family members and just maybe; when her sister and our son-in-law, Bruce, stop by our house, the four of us will send the melodic sound of our voices across the miles to her receptive ears. ...

All students at Clay Community Schools eligible for FREE Summer Food Service Program

Jocie’s Beauty School 2020 August graduates

“I can’t tell you how very proud of these girls I am. They are passing their State Board exams one-by-one now and have nearly all completed their hours and test outs,” said Sonya Weaver, owner and instructor at Jocie’s Beauty School. “They will ALL be completed before the end of August and ready for their license.”
