As a sign of mourning and respect, American flags across the state and locally have been flown at half-staff at government buildings to honor U.S. Capitol Police Officers Brian Sicknick, Howard Liebengood and all Capitol Police Officers and law enforcement. On January 10, 2021, Gov. Eric Holcomb asked businesses and residents in Indiana to lower their flags to half-staff as well.
