Members of the Legion of Mary have a quiet moment of prayer on the north steps of the Clay County Courthouse on Saturday afternoon in downtown Brazil. The Legion of Mary comprises people from Annunciation and St. Paul’s Catholic churches, and they meet at noon on the first Saturday of each month to pray for the nation and the community by reading psalms, reciting liturgical prayers and praying silently.
