Northview unveils Jan Gambill Field

Over the last several decades, Northview has had numerous top-of-the-line athletic programs. One of the best has been the softball team, which had multiple semi-state appearances over that span. So, as discussions began awhile back about naming the field after an influential person in the program’s history, there was zero doubt about who the school wanted to honor – Jan Gambill, the woman who coached the Lady Knights’ first game and hundreds of games after that and was a pioneer in starting girls sports in Clay County.. ...
