Last December, in the first-ever Clay City Classic, the host Eels were upended by Martinsville in heart-breaking fashion in the semifinal and were forced to watch the championship game from the Eel Dome stands. A Clay City man faces formal charges after a strange incident involving a FedEx delivery man earlier this month. The Clay County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges in Clay Circuit Court on Joe Wayne Tiefel, 71, Thursday.
