Bernice Tessibel “Tessie” Cashman of Coal City, Indiana passed away on October 28, 2023 at the age of 87 surrounded by her loved ones. Tessie was born on May 27, 1936, in Coal City, the daughter of Howard and Maxine (Hauser) Inman. She graduated from Coal City High School in 1954 and attended Indiana State Teachers College, earning her teaching degree in Home Economics and Physical Education. Tessie began her teaching career at Holton High School, teaching Home Economics until 1967.
