UPDATE - Deputy injured during traffic stop Saturday

Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen has released more details about the accident on US Highway 40 Saturday afternoon involving a department vehicle. On Saturday, February 3, Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Richmond was on patrol in Posey Township along US 40 when, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the Deputy conducted a traffic stop near County Road 300 West.
