Woodworkers at Mansfield Festival

Top: William Cottrell of Greencastle uses a scroll saw to fashion an elaborate Christmas ornament during at the Mansfield Village Woodworkers and Whittlers Festival held Saturday and Sunday. Cottrell was one of around two dozen woodworkers who participated in the event, displaying their wares, offering demonstrations and competing in a whittling contest. A Saturday-night concert by country star Phil Vassar drew a crowd approaching 5,000 to the tiny Parke County community, according to co-organizer Mary Beth Goff.
