To the Editor:

We at the Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church would like to thank all the contributors for their contributions to our recent Help-A-Family at Christmas Golf Scramble. This Golf Scramble is held to raise money to allow many of our community's children to have a better Christmas. This year a total of 46 were able to benefit from this endeavor. Without the help of each of the contributors listed below some of these children would not have had a Christmas.

The Golf Scramble funds are used to purchase approximately $60 in clothing for each child. Individual members or families of our congregation purchased toys for the children at a cost of approximately $50 each. There is a Christmas party held each year, and while the children are eating and playing in our fellowship area, the parents or grandparents are given the items purchased. It is left to the parents to give the children the gifts as either from the parents or from Santa Claus, in this way no child should feel embarrassed or different than their friends.

The following is a list of contributors. Hole Sponsors - International Paper, United Machine & Design, American Family Insurance, KIHM Metal Technologies, The House of Spirits, Crawl Works. Clay County Furnace, US Nails, Hughes real Estate, Premier Tax Service, H & R Block, IET Spun Metal, Riddell National Bank, Eagle Lodge 274, Brazil Kiwanis, Forest Park Golf Course, and Benwood AWANA Clubs.

Half Hole sponsors - Shuee & Sons, Edward Jones Investment, Remax Homes, Wallace Bros. Disposal, Dr. Gary Staddt Dentistry, Hood Hydraulic, Crafton's Painting, Ann Bradshaw, and Shelter Insurance.

Other Donations - Edward Jones Investments, McDonalds, Fairway Golf, Leonardo's Pizza, Wendy's Subway, Fifth Third Bank, Papa John's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Advance Auto Parts, Movie Gallery, Pepsi Cola, Ed & Becky Profit, and Video Specialist.

Also very special thanks to Mark Rogers, golf pro at Forest Park, and all the employees at the golf course for their efforts. Thanks to all the members of our congregation who worked, purchased gifts, heled at the party, or simply prayed for party, your efforts are really appreciated. Also to Anthony Young and Trent Eldridge who headed up the scramble, thanks. Lastly, but not least, to each of the golfers that participated in the scramble, thank you.
