Letter to the Editor

Reader upset with security at hospital

Sunday, April 6, 2008

To the Editor:

I sent a letter back in January or February concerning Security Guards at the St. Vincent Clay Hospital, and it was never printed.

I guess I didn't sign it in full or something, but my husband was a patient there and they put another man in his room.

But the man's wife or girlfriend didn't leave.

She got in bed with him so they moved my husband to another room.

The nurses said they couldn't do anything about it as there is no security there.

Tonight, I read in the paper all the damage done from all the crimes at the hospital and in town.

Now I want to know why there is no security there to protect those ladies that put in all the time trying to take care of the sick and accidents?

By the time one of the men from ER could get there to the main floor, stop and think how many people could be injured.

Please take care of the staff there.
