Local politicians were recognized for their dedication and service to Clay County residents enjoyed a breakfast of homemade biscuits and gravy at the Clay County Senior Citizen Center Saturday morning and shared some "war stories" and good memories. Pictured (not in order) are retired Council Members Jim Middledorf, John Ringo, Jim Boor, Bill Purcell, Richard Burger, John Price and Joe Wilson, current Commissioners Paul Sinders, Charlie Brown and Jack Withers, current Council Members Steve Withers, Dolores Johnson, Rita Rothrock and Mike McCullough and Assessor Mark Barnhart. The group also honored those who helped "lay the foundation for frugal government in Clay County," but were not at the meeting, including Jon Moore, Les Harding, Bob Mayrose, Ed Nevins, Vern Zurcher and Ronnie Bryan.
