To the Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our Help-A-Family-At-Christmas golf scramble.

The following businesses and individuals sponsored entire holes at the scramble: Moore Funeral Home, Wallace Bros. Disposal, United Machine and Design, Miller and Stewart, LLC, Clay County Furnace, Homes Express, VFW Post 1127, G. Long's Auto Exchange, H&R Block, Dr. Austin Burns, Rite-Way Auto and Truck Service, Dr. R.L. Door prizes and other donations were received from: Fun Time Fitness, Sherwin-Williams Paints, Sunrise Family Restaurant, Brazil Pizza Hut, Brazilian Lanes, Sugar and Spice Florist, Papa John's Pizza, Long John Silvers, Yankee Rose, Fifth Third Bank and Goodies Galore.

A very special thanks to Forest Park Golf Course pro Mark Rogers and his staff for helping to ensure a good event.

The money raised from this event will help to clothe approximately 50 young people from our community at Christmas. Again, thanks to everyone for your help in this effort.
