Resident warns of potential scam

There is a scam going on right here in Brazil with local workers.

They come into your homes and won't write out a list of what they are to do and they will not give an estimate of the cost.

(They say they can't tell what all they will need and they tell you they will be at work at 8 a.m., and come at 3 p.m., and work late and charge you overtime.)

Please do not let anyone start a job without a written list of what they will do and the cost. Above all, don't sign any papers until you have the list and the cost on paper.

If they refuse to do this, get someone else.

It may save you from paying nearly double what the cost should be.
