New sidewalk pleasing to reader

To the Editor:

I am so excited to get new sidewalks on Ridge Street.

A portion of my poor sidewalk has been torn up since the early 80s. When I walked out one day and saw big white letters that said, "DEMO," I knew it might finally be replaced. After the new sidewalks were poured, the space along each side was filled in and leveled.

This is probably standard procedure for sidewalk replacement, but what I most want to thank the workers for is taking the time to reset the pavers I had along the sidewalk.

I intended to level the ground and reset them myself, but they did it before I got the chance.

I feel this went above and beyond their job and I am truly grateful.
