Holidays aren't the same without friend

To the Editor:

Another year to remember a friend and missing him in playing Santa.

Bill loved this part to make a child's face smile, shake his or her hand and give a candy cane.

If you needed him to play Santa, he would do everything he could to work in the time to do this.

Bill playing Santa would sometimes ring your doorbell or knock or peek around the door.

Always had a voice for "Ho! Ho!" and "Merry Christmas!" White Christmas? He sang especially when snow was on the ground. Really put you in the Christmas spirit.

I, being a little ill, last week went into the office of French's Clinic. Looked up and on the wall was a large, color picture of Bill as Santa. Good picture!

I don't remember how many times I looked at the picture. Words above it: Believe.

Bill is resting, but I believe he's playing Santa for all the little children in Heaven.

In Memory

Those we love remain with us

For love itself lives on

Cherished memories never fade

Because a loved one is gone

Those we love can never be more than a thought apart

For as long as there is memory

They'll live on in our heart

And Santa Bill will.

Your Friend,
