Edward Douglas Preston

Edward Douglas Preston, 53, Brazil, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2011.

He was born May 26, 1957, in Chicago, the son of Benjamin and Phyllis (Sanborn) Preston.

He attended Mortin East High School in Cicero, Ill., and later received his degree, graduating at the top in the state.

Eddie was a talented artist. At a young age, Eddie began painting signs and advertisements. Although he was born in the Chicago Land area, his talent took him to several areas of the country.

In addition to painting, Eddie enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. Eddie also enjoyed remodeling homes and helping friends and family in need.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father Benjamin Preston and daughter Victoria Preston.

He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Preston and fiance James Bush, granddaughter Aubrey Preston and grandson Isaiah Preston, mother Phyllis Preston, brothers Leonard Preston and Kenneth Preston, and sisters Carrie Ross and Debra Preston, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A memorial service will take place at French Funeral Home Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at 6 p.m., with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating.

Friends are welcome to gather from 4 p.m., until time of services.
