Remembering Fred McDonald

To the Editor:

It brings me a wonderful sadness to learn of the passing of a great youth mentor in my life, Fred R. McDonald.

I delivered The Brazil Times/Indianapolis News in my youth with Fred as the Circulation Manager as many that may read this have.

During my days as a carrier, Fred was a very consistent mentor and supervisor that set expectations that taught lessons for all carriers. Under his supervision, I set realistic goals that gave me "pain" in the winter months and paid well at the end of each week.

The lessons learned while working my first real job, under Fred R. McDonald, have stayed with me and I am proud to have worked for him and will always share the stories from the basement of The Brazil Daily Times with family and youth alike.

Thank you Fred R. McDonald and my condolences to his family.
