Letter to the Editor

Resident gives thanks to all

Sunday, December 4, 2011

To the Editor:

I would like to take the opportunity to thank my family, friends, the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church and the entire community for the kind words and thoughts, prayers, cards, meals and financial support following my accident in July of 2011.

A couple of very close friends organized a benefit in my honor that took place in September.

I was so humbled at the turnout and amount of support that I received. With the funds raised from the benefit, we were able to pay some medical expenses.

I am so grateful and thankful for each and every person who did anything from donating financially to saying the smallest prayer.

I believe that I am here today because of the amazing support and the power of the prayers said by my community.

I also have deep gratitude to the first responders, each and every paramedic, EMT, firemen, police officer and the AirEvac Lifeteam.

By the grace of God, you saved my life and there are no words that can ever express how thankful I am to those of you that worked the scene of my accident.

I am very honored to live in this community.

Thank each and every one and God bless.

Courtney Lash,
