Man thankful for help

To the Editor:

To the people of Clay County and surrounding counties:

There are only a few people who see the need for those who suffer from discomfort from so many medical conditions.

I am over 70-years-old and suffer from a genetic disorder. I am totally dependent on the use of a walker. It is so difficult to maneuver around and do for myself, but I am determined.

On June 4 of this year, it was raining and miserable. I was attempting to go for my usual water therapy when Jim Frederick, owner of "Fun Time Scuba" saw me struggling to get my walker from the back seat of my car and came to help.

Jim left his warm and dry office with an umbrella to assist me. He helped me retrieve my walker and slowly, but surely, get in out of the rain.

Jim does many things that need to be maintained to keep Fun Time Scuba not only clean, but water temperatures comfortable, chemicals balanced and constantly watches the camera screen to make sure all attending the pool are safe.

Also, Jim does so many good deeds that should be mentioned. Two years ago, with several inches of snow on the ground, he put the blade on his jeep and plowed their driveways.

I know this because I actually saw him working on mine.

Jimmy (as I call him), I don't want to embarrass you, just want to thank you for all you do. Your hard work is noticed.

T.R. Marshall,

Brazil
