Humane Shelter cat, dog ask for items

Sunday, April 28, 2013

To the Editor:

This is cat and dog again from the Clay County Humane Shelter.

Unfortunately, it is now not only spring, but also kitten and puppy season.

They are beginning to arrive at the shelter.

As usual, we need supplies for the babies and the adult cats and dogs.

Since cat is impatient and never satisfied, we will let her speak first.

"Meow. We need clumping litter, brand name cat and kitten dry food, canned cat and kitten foot, treats -- I prefer any canned food with gravy and temptations treats are my favorite. Kittens need toys, too. Catnip is real good."

"Woof. Enough from cat. Dogs also need canned and dry brand name food. Toys and treats are good, too."

We need foster parents to help with the babies. We also can use laundry detergent, paper towels, Windex, Pine Sol, large trash bags, blankets, cat beds, small rugs, dog beds, small or large pillows or cushions, cat carriers, large and small crate and kennels, too.

Cash donations are always appreciated, and are tax deductible. Cat and dog will be forever thankful.

Meow, meow, and woof, woof!

Nola Jane Blueher,
