To the Editor:

Congratulations Chuck and Roberta Weliever.

Thank you so much for your tireless efforts and significant personal investment on behalf of the young people of Clay County!

The skatepark looks fantastic and the opening ceremony and activities on Saturday, Sept. 21, were outstanding.

What a super crowd of skaters and community members in attendance!

It was so obvious that everyone there had a great time and it was wonderful to see so many young people enjoying the skatepark.

The two of you are a real blessing to Clay County, not only because you have given so much for the skatepark, but you also give so much of yourselves to your church and other philanthropic organizations in Clay County!

It is heartwarming to see the response from the many young people who are enjoying the park.

We hope that they will continue to keep the skatepark, the church and other property nearby picked up and treat the park and those who use and visit it with respect.

We encourage others in Clay County to contribute to and support the skatepark.

Any amount will help!

Bricks with the names of donors for $200 or $500 may be purchased, and Gold Medal Level donors of $1,000 or more will have their name or company lettered on limestone on the donors' wall.

Chuck and Roberta have worked diligently for the past six years to build a skatepark, and they have never given up on what seemed like an impossible task.

They did it for the young people of our community!

Please ask your friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors to contribute to this worthwhile project.

Funds still need to be raised to cover additional expenditures, finishing costs, and maintenance expenses.

Checks may be made payable to Clay Community Parks Association, Inc., Attention: Skatepark, PO Box 308, Brazil, Ind., 47834.

Thank you, Chuck and Roberta!

Brenda Weber and Mary Yelton,
