Margaret B. Wilson Hendrickson, 106 of Terre Haute passed away Saturday March 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was a teacher in both Vigo and Parke Counties, retiring in 1968. Margaret was born May 12, 1907 in Glasgow, Scotland to David Wilson and Ellen (Macauley) Wilson. She is survived by daughters, Martha Parker and her husband Ron of Terre Haute and Betty Akers of Terre Haute; sister-in-law; Pauline Wilson; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Harry Hendrickson who died in 1978, her parents, a son, David Hendrickson, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Helen Pulliam and her husband Jim, and siblings, William Wilson, David Wilson, Alex Wilson, Ellen Wilson McCoskey, Elizabeth Wilson Lane, Mary Wilson Mathews, and Elizabeth Wilson. She was a member of Maryland Community Church where she was involved with the Missionary Group there, and The Senior Seekers. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily, and quilting, which she did until 2 years ago when it got too hard for her. She was also the oldest living graduate from Indiana State University from which she graduated in 1927. Margaret's family said that she had a very active life, enjoying being involved and helping out, especially doing what she could for the "Old People". She loved being with family and she is going be missed deeply. Visitation will be Tuesday March 11, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. and from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastors Vince McFarland, Rich Winson, and Shan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers if friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
