To the editor:

On June 29, the community of Center Point had a military funeral for Frank E. Hill.

Mr. Hill was a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. He had not been given his military last rite.

We appreciate those individuals and groups who participated in this ceremony. Those include Pat Wilkinson of the Clay County Genealogy Library and the Library itself, Jeff Koehler of the Clay County Historical Society, Nick French of French Funeral Services, Ron Moon caretaker of the Center Point cemeteries, Mike Holland of Clay County Veterans Services, Don Morfe of New Jersey for the marker stone and Cliff Blanchard.

And most of important, Clay City, Coal City and Brazil Post 2 of the American Legions, The American Legion Riders, Veterans of ForeignWars posts (Clay City and Brazil), VFW State of Indiana Commander Greg Baker, Congressional Medal of Honor Society of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, TV Channel 2, Clay City News and Brazil Times for their covereage.

We also appreciate those who helped but want to remain anonymous.
