Burts thank city for service

To the editor:

This letter is to the city of Brazil's crew that was operating the leaf vacuum Friday, Nov. 21.

We were going to clean the sidewalk and the school yard at Annunciation church's school building when we noticed the sidewalk had already been cleaned off. One of the neighbors told us the city crew had already been by and vacuumed it all off. So we started cleaning the school yard and the tree row. We had a huge pile of pine needles and leaves raked back onto the sidewalk and were just preparing to bag it all up when the crew happened by again. They readily vacuumed it up again for us.

We figured it saved us an hour or more bagging that huge pile. We would like to express to them and Mayor Wyndham how much their efforts were appreciated.
