In last month's article we talked about joint ownership of real estate. This month's article explores the joint ownership of personal property. What do we mean when we say personal property? The short answer is just about anything except real estate -- vehicles, bank accounts, stocks, bonds, investment accounts, insurance policies, IRA's, 401(K)'s, equipment, antiques, jewelry, collections, etc. All of these items can be jointly owned but all have different ways of being jointly owned.
