Letter to the Editor

What religion are you?

Sunday, January 31, 2016

To the editor:

I don't care what color you are, black, white, yellow, or any color, or what your religion is, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, Jewish, Christian or any other religion that you practice: As long as you respect me, I will respect you because we are all God's children.

The teaching of religion has shaped the lives of many people during their lifetime. Religion gives the people a feeling of security, because they believe in their one and only true God (no matter what religion), and he will look after and protect them.

Some religions (Christians, Judaism and Islam) have been a major influence on Western cultures. Islam has also been in the development of Middle Eastern culture.

Prayer is the most important thing in all religions, where people offer devotion, they thank God for the blessings they have, their confession of their sins and they ask God to forgive them.

Some people kneel when they pray, some sit or lie on the ground, prayers are different according to their faith.

This is America, we can worship any religion in any way we please because that's what the Constitution says.

The Bible says, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.
