Musings from the waiting room

Tuesday, June 7, 2016

It is Saturday morning and I am doing fine. I hope you are feeling likewise today as well. I am presently sitting in the waiting room of the eye clinic at Richard Roudebush VA Medical Center. Paul is getting his exam. It seems like he has been gone for quite some time. Where are the good reading materials? I can not find a thing to read. I would settle for just about anything better than what is lying in the rack today, one soiled newspaper in disarray. At this point, I am the only person in here other than the girl behind the window. She is working on removing something from her front teeth. I am sure she will ruin her smile the way she is going about it with that long hair pick. I am almost sure a dentist will be hearing from her soon and she will be biting at the bit to make the call. That sure is a large drink cup she is nursing, with bent straw, in between jabs. Now she just asked me which eye doctor am I to see today. I would go to the bathroom, but I have set here for so long and another fact; someone down the hall mentioned rain and I am afraid to stand up. Finally, here comes the grinner. He will select his frames and, I will say, "Home James " and we will head back home to Tootie Mae!
