DAR takes part in Bicentennial celebration

The Eliza Rizley Stacey Chapter of DAR was proud to be a part of the Bicentennial Celebration and Torch Relay on Sept. 22. Several activities took place on the Clay County Courthouse lawn. Under their DAR banner, members passed out tea and water, as well as provided chairs for those in need. They also had their chapter’s scrapbook on display. The ERS Chapter of DAR sold patriotic buttons, bicentennial pencils, and packets of Clay County picture postcards with all profits going toward their Veterans’ fund.
