To the editor:
Power of The Community’s annual United Way Success By 6 fundraiser held on September 22 at North Clay Middle School was a great success. The event included entertainment by the Melody Makers of Clay County and The Side Note Quartet. Also a raffle, both silent and live auctions (conducted by The Pell Auction Center), and The Taste of Clay County that included food from 14 restaurants, caterers, and grocery stores. We are so grateful for the generosity of these businesses and encourage you next year to see for yourselves the wonderful food they offer at each of their sites.
The Taste of Clay County vendors included: The Iron Skillet, Maurizio’s, Coach’s Time Out Sports Grill, The Green Olive Catering, Bite This Bakery, Pizza Hut, Casey’s Pizza Carry-Out, Little Caesar’s Pizza, Papa John’s Pizza, The Brazil Coffee Grounds & Bakery, Burger King, Kroger, Pages Food Store, and Pepsi Cola Refreshment Services.
We thank these wonderful restaurants, caterers, and grocery stores for making our Taste of Clay County meal a success with such delicious food. We are so fortunate to have such a “giving” community, a community that gives back and is ready to help those in need.
