Clay County homeschoolers take 1st Place at Purdue
On Saturday, five Clay County homeschool students traveled to Purdue University in Lafayette to compete in the 4th Annual 4-H NFPA Fluid Power Challenge. The Challenge provides Indiana 6th-8th graders an opportunity to learn about hydraulics, fluid power, and other STEM skills. The team consisted of Connor Loughmiller, Shane Boor, Ian Loughmiller, Logan Boor, and Marah Loughmiller. In February the team attended a workshop to learn about pneumatics, hydraulics, and the challenge that they would spend the next two months working on.
