With the beginning of a new school year, the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana offer several signup events for new girls attending kindergarten through 12th grade in Clay County. 

The first one took place Tuesday at Forest Park during the National Night Out event at the Cow Palace. Others include,

• Chalk the Walk at Forest Park playground from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22,

• Camping activities at Forest Park by the pool from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10th.

• Camping activities at Clay City Goshorn Park from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12th.

New participants can also join by texting JoinGS to 317-668-0335. The yearly membership is $25, with financial assistance available.

Returning Girl Scouts should contact their Troop Leader to renew membership or call GSCI at 317-924-6800.
