Blink.

And just like that, in the blink of an eye, another year has passed for the Tri-School Reunion Committee. They have been excitedly preparing for the third gathering of alumni from the three former northern Clay County high schools which now comprise Northview High School.

Brazil, Staunton, and Van Buren High School alumni are invited to attend the gathering, along with alumni from Clay City High School. During those school years, deep and lasting friendships were formed through sharing daily classes and participating in various sporting events and music competitions. It was friendly rivalry at its best. Yes, those were fun times!

Gary Baysinger, Staunton graduate, treasures those memories and is passionate about keeping that school spirit alive. His burning desire is to gather as many alumni as possible for an afternoon and evening of recalling memories and making new ones over a nice meal and listening to some music.

‘Celebrating our Teachers’ is the overall theme of the reunion, which is being held for the third straight year. Being blessed by having wonderful role models is something the alumni do not take for granted. Previous teaching staff members have been invited to be the special guests. As time has blurred the lines of the differences in ages, many of those teachers have become beloved friends and family.

Pre-registration is still open, but not necessary to attend. Tickets can be purchased upon arrival. The Tri-School Reunion will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Baysinger’s Loafer’s Shed, 7720 N. Murphy Rd., Brazil, IN 47834. Meet and Greet begins at 4:00 PM with dinner beginning at 5:00. Smoken Joe’s BBQ is catering the event and music will begin at 8:00 PM. Big Fun Band is providing the entertainment and is always a crowdpleaser.

Registration forms are at The World in Focus Eyecare, Time Out, and the Alabama. Also, online registration is available at www.trischoolreunion.com. The fee per person is $20. If you would like more information, please contact committee members Gary Baysinger, Jeri McCullough-Gooding, Mary Pell Ray, Piper Withers German, or Leesa Warner Nesty on their Facebook pages.

Blink. Before you know it, another year will have passed. The Tri-School Reunion is a great place to slow down, enjoy old and new friends, and make new memories.
