Rotarians in the news: Donation to bridge project

Members of the Clay County Parks Association gathered at Craig Park on October 2 along with members of the Brazil Rotary Club to help acknowledge the club’s donation of $2,500.00 for the bridge project.

After their regular noon lunch meeting on October 2nd, featuring a speaker program by Northview High School Principal Chris Mauk, who spoke about school academic, extracurricular and sports highlights so far this year, Brazil Rotarians gathered to distribute free dictionary books to students in the Clay Community Schools Corporation third grade classes for its annual Dictionary Day project.

The donation of paperback dictionaries to each third-grade student in the corporation is made possible by endowed funds through the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.

Those who gathered to deliver dictionaries are Stephanie Shopmeyer, Duane Butt, Dave Crooks, Mike Petersen, Josh Clarke, Peggy Mikles, Dr. Miranda Goodale, Chris Rodgers, Jenni Marietta, Rob Dispennett, and Roger Dulin.
