CLUB NEWS: Jackson Twp. Extension Club

Thursday, November 14, 2019

The Jackson Township Better Homes Extension Club held their October 24 meeting at the Extension office hosted by Martha Knox, president.

She called the meeting to order with Glenna Ogborn leading the “Pledge of Allegiance” and Shirley Koehler leading the Homemakers Creed.

For devotions, Mary Kent read, “God Always Answers Prayers.”

Six members answered roll call by telling the most unusual item found in their purses.

Shirley led in singing “Playmates” and “Happy Birthday to You” was sung to Marilyn Bott, Martha and Glenna.

Rose Mary Price gave the treasurer’s report.

For the health and safety report, Marilyn reminded us of the vaccinations needed and told us the health foods to eat for Fall.

We discussed Homemakers Night, Oct. 29, at the fairgrounds, which we host. Rose Mary won the hostess gift.

The next meeting will be November 21, 1 p.m., at the Extension office.
