TOP STORY OF THE DAY: Picnic tables for disabled

Don and Lisa Bullerdick are planning on making more of the picnic tables -especially more handicapped accessible ones - for the American Legion Post #2 located at 410 North Depot St., Brazil.

American Legion Post #2 has six new picnic tables, with four of them designed to be handicap accessible, for the outdoor pavilion next to the post located at 410 North Depot St., thanks to the handiwork of members Don and Lisa Bullerdick. The post plans to have more of the tables made in the future.

The couple was pictured while taking a break after volunteering to help to serve more than 340 free chicken noodle lunches in an hour on Friday, April 24.

NEXT FREE LUNCH

Volunteers will be passing out another free lunch of grilled tenderloins during a drive-thru at the pavilion on Friday, May 1, to anyone in need during the COVID-19 outbreak.
