Volunteers at the American Legion Post #2, 10 North Depot Street, Brazil, confirmed they upped the number of lunches available to give away last Friday, May 8, to more than 600 pulled-pork sandwiches and seasoned green beans. If the green beans ran out, bags of potato chips were waiting to be swapped in to fill the containers for the early birds lining up before the event started at noon. On May 1, the volunteers handed out more than 200 grilled tenderloins lunches 30 minutes before noon. The American
Legion is expecting to reopen for normal business hours (noon-9 p.m.) Wednesday, May 13. On May 15, they will be providing free pulled-pork lunches from noon until gone.
