Clay County Sheriff's Department officials confirm one injury during a late afternoon accident on County Road 1100 North involving a school bus.

Details are limited due to the current investigation.

Officials said the accident occurred around 3:45 p.m.

A school bus was traveling west on CR 1100 North when a truck allegedly approached from the same direction at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred.

The unidentified driver of the truck was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment of their injuries. Due to Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPA) regulations further medical information is unavailable at this time.

No injuries were reported among the passengers of the school bus, who were all seated at the time of the accident.

  • I mean like how did the driver car get totally damaged and the bus is clean did the person who went to the hospital

    get there safely who's fault was it.
