COVID-19 Data Update Nov. 16, 2020, Free Testing site at Forest Park this week
The Indiana State Department of Health provides comprehensive data since the beginning of the pandemic for District 7 in the Wabash Valley, including:
• CLAY - RED/3 - 862 Positive Cases among the 6,501 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 31.4%.
• GREENE - ORANGE/2.5 - 846 Positive Cases among the 14,356 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 27%.
• SULLIVAN - ORANGE/2.5 - 1,708 Positive Cases among the 14,356 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 27%.
• PARKE - ORANGE/2.5 - 2,128 Positive Cases among the 18,231 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 25.7%.
• OWEN - ORANGE/2 - 2,128 Positive Cases among the 18,231 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 25.7%.
• VERMILLION - 2,128 Positive Cases among the 18,231 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 25.7%.
• VIGO - ORANGE/2 - 6,977 Positive Cases among the 31,170 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 27.1%.
• PUTNAM - YELLOW/1.5 - 8,005 Positive Cases among the 59,754 unique individuals tested, with a Unique Positivity Rate for 7-Days of 25.5%.
District 7 shows an overall positive COVID-19 test rate at 11.3%, with the total tested at 139,127 and confirmation of 9,616 cases and a total of 186 deaths. The Positivity Rate for Unique Individuals for District 7 is 24.6%, with 75,276 unique individuals tested since the pandemic began in March.
FREE COVID-19 TESTING SITE AT FOREST PARK
In cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health, the Clay County Health Department will offer free Covid-19 testing to all Clay County residences. The test site will be held in Forest Park Cow Palace (Brazil Indiana) on Nov. 17-21, from 9 am to 6 pm.
This Covid-19 nasopharyngeal swab test is free to the public, and Clay County residents can drive through or walk-up. This test is confidential, and results are expected within 3 to 5 days.
Please follow the posted signs. No appointments are necessary for Indiana residents who will need to provide a state of Indiana driver’s license, Indiana issued ID card, or proof of residency such as a water bill, phone bill.
It’s fast - 15-20 minutes to fill out the information and receive the test.
