IVY JACOBS PHOTO - Nevins Fire Department's Christmas In the Park display is a show of support and solidarity with fire service personnel and law enforcement officers of this nation, who work each day, and to honor those injured or who have fallen in the line of duty. The lighted display is located at Brazil's Forest Park until January 1, 2021.

A soft covering of snow arrived overnight in Clay County Wednesday morning.

During a drive through the Christmas In The Park display at Forest Park, in Brazil, the new snowfall, and an unexpected song on the radio of Times' Reporter Ivy Jacobs' vehicle created a lovely tribute to local first responders Wednesday, Dec. 16.

The display was created by Nevins Fire Department and features two black and white US flags, one with red and the other has a blue line. The thin lines of color are symbolic to show support and solidarity with fire service personnel and law enforcement officers of this nation, who work each day, and to honor those injured or who have fallen in the line of duty.

The display along with many others at the park will remain up and lit up at night until January 1, 2021.
