The Clay Community School Corporation has released the following statement with regards to the Indiana State Department of Health Clay County being categorized in RED as of Wednesday, December 30, 2020:

CCS Family Members:

The Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard’s Color Code System changed Clay County to red today; therefore, beginning tomorrow, December 31, Clay Community Schools will be in the Red Column of the CCS 2020-21 School Year Roadmap, including the Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Roadmaps.

At this time, all our schools will remain open; however, as noted in the Roadmap, this is subject to change at any time. We will continue to work very closely with local health officials on a daily basis.

It is vital for the protocols and procedures in the Roadmap to be followed by everyone. Wearing of masks and maintaining social distancing practices are imperative. It is also very important for anyone in our school family who is sick, symptomatic, or quarantined to stay home and work closely with his/her healthcare professional. School nurses are available at our schools to address questions.

Your continued support and commitment are greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Jeffery D. Fritz

CCS Superintendent
