COVID-19 UPDATE: County remains in YELLOW again

Thursday, May 6, 2021

Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard Data shows Wabash Valley has four counties currently in the YELLOW Advisory category for the Weekly 2-Metric Score, including Clay (score of 1.5), Greene, Owen, and Vermillion counties (all with scores of 1). Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, and Vigo counties remain in the BLUE category with scores of .5.

ISDH evaluates County Metrics each Wednesday at noon. Advisory level refers to the current guidelines the county must follow. A county must remain at a lower Weekly Two-Metric Score for two consecutive weeks to move down to a lower advisory level.

The levels determining the spread of the COVID-19 virus are:

RED - High Spread,

ORANGE - Medium Spread,

YELLOW - Mild Spread, and

BLUE - Light Spread.
