On Tuesday morning, the Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association announced its annual All-Star Game would take place on Saturday, June 26 at 7 p.m. The game will be played at Indiana State University’s Memorial Stadium with the banquet scheduled to take place inside Hulman Center the evening before.

Rose-Hulman football coach Jeff Sokol will be the guest speaker.

Northview will have seven representatives – five players and two coaches – on the Gold Division team that will be coached by Sullivan’s Blaine Powell.

Northview head coach Mark Raetz and assistant coach Aaron Edwards are among Powell’s assistants for the All-Star game with the following players being named to the roster: quarterback Keegan Garrison, running back/defensive back Korbin Allen, offensive lineman/defensive lineman Dylan Zentko, full back/tight end/defensive lineman Ilias Gordon and offensive lineman/linebacker Parker Jordan.

Garrison started all 10 games for the Knights under center. The dual-threat quarterback completed 55 percent of his passes for 1,322 yards (132.2 yards per game) and 12 touchdowns while running for 305 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Allen started all 10 games for the Knights out of the backfield. The do-it-all running back ran for 1,243 yards (124.3 yards per game) and 10 touchdowns. He caught 18 passes for 217 yards and one touchdown and returned to kick offs for a total of 34 yards. On defense, recorded 16 total tackles. He intercepted two passes and blocked on field goal attempt.

Zentko started four games for the Knights on each side of the line. He paved the way for Northview’s stable of running backs on the offensive side of the ball while wreaking havoc up front on the defensive side. Zentko recorded five total tackles, including one for a loss of yards. He also sacked the opposing quarterback once.

Gordon started all 10 games for the Knights at a multitude of positions. On offense, he carried the ball 106 times for 305 yards (2.9 yards per game), while hauling in 23 passes for 293 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Gordon recorded 68 total tackles (34 solo and 34 assisted), which included 20.5 for a loss of yards. He also recorded 6.5 sacks and forced three fumbles.

Jordan started nine games for the Knights on each side of the line. He paved the way for Northview’s stable of running backs on the offensive side of the ball while wreaking havoc in the middle of the field on the defensive side. Jordan recorded 81 total tackles (28 solo and 53 assisted), which included 9.5 for a loss of yards. Jordan also sacked the opposing quarterback twice and recovered a fumble once.

Each of the five Northview representatives in the 2021 WVFCA All-Star Game were named to the Western Indiana Conference All-Conference team.
