The cumulative data provided by the Indiana State Department of Health's COVID-19 Dashboard shows Clay County in RED Advisory Category in the 2-Week Metric Score as of Wednesday (www.coronavirus.in.gov/).

Data has accumulated since March 2020, when the ISDH began tracking the coronavirus pandemic arrived in Indiana.

In Clay County:

Data about the comprehensive testing in the county has been provided since March 12, 2020.

Data confirming local positive cases was collected since the first one, March 28, 2021.

Data collected about deaths linked to COVID-19 has accumulated since the first one in the county on April 20, 2020.

The ISDH Data Dashboard also tracks data regarding the spread of COVID-19 and provides it in date ranges up to two weeks old to ensure it is accurate. These categories include:

New Positive Cases (daily with exception over the weekend)

New Deaths (daily with exception over the weekend)

7-Day Positivity - All Tests

7-Day Positivity - Unique Individuals (people not tested before)

The ISDH is currently listing the Delta Variant as the cause in 96% of the positive cases in Indiana. This is the reason that certain data information is not provided about this variant.

FREE COVID-19 Testing Site Data

The Clay County Health Department has tracked the participation at the recent testing site provided at Forest Park in Brazil.

Monday, August 16 - 163 Tested, 31 Positive, 12 Vaccinated

Tuesday, August 17 - 214 Tested, 37 P{ositive, 21 Vaccinated

On Wednesday, August 18, people were lined up early to participate in the clinic.

The Clay County Health Department wants to "thank everyone" for their patience during the clinic, the support staff who worked at the clinic, the Brazil Mayor's Office and the Parks Department for providing the location and assisting with the clinic on such short notice.
