Clay County Humane Shelter having vaccination clinic, fall adoption specials

Clay County Humane Society is hosting its FALL Vaccination Clinic on Sat., Sept. 18, from 2-4 p.m. at the Forest Park Cow Palace in Brazil.

If your dog or cat was vaccinated at last year’s Fall shot clinic or your pet needs shots, make sure to stop by.

The CCHS is excited to announce that there will be two vets again for this clinic: Dr. Talik & Dr. Lauren!

Puppies and kittens must be 12 weeks or older to receive a rabies vaccine, but six weeks or older to receive their other shots.

ALL dogs must be leashed & ALL cats must be in a carrier.

Individual Dog & Puppy Shots:

Rabies $15 (12 wks & older)

Canine Plus 5 L4 $15 (6 wks & older)

Bordetella $15

The MINI (Rabies & Canine Plus 5 L4) $27 (12 weeks & older)

The WORKS (Rabies, Canine Plus 5 L4 & Bordetella) $40 (12 weeks & older)

Individual Cat & Kitten Shots:

Rabies $15 (12 weeks & older)

Feline Felocell 4 $15 (6 weeks & older)

The MEOW (Both shots) $27 (12 wks & older)

To speed up the payment process, it would be helpful if you brought last year’s shot receipt with you or an index card with your pets name(s) and the vaccinations needed.

Two humane societies in the Wabash Valley have had to close during August due to Covid exposure, and the CCHS wants to prevent the same from happening to its shelter.

Adoption specials

The Clay County Humane Society is having a fall adoption special from Sept. 15-30.

$40 — Cats & Kittens

$50 — for senior dogs & dogs who’ve been at CCHS longer than six months (23 dogs to choose from)

$75 — Adult Dogs (older than six months - normally $150 adoption fee)
