MONDAY'S COVID-19 UPDATE: Clay County numbers continue to trend downward

The Indiana Department of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard (www.coronavirus.in.gov) for noon Monday, October 4, showed Clay County trending downward on all the data maps, including:

ORANGE - Weekly 2-Metric Score

ORANGE - 7-Day All Tests Positivity Rate

RED - Advisory Level

RED - Weekly Cases Per 100,000 Residents

Consisting of Clay, Greene, Parke, Putnam, Owen, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties, the ISDH’s data for District 7 includes:

599,569 Total Tests

41,432 Positive Cases

706 Confirmed Deaths

23.2% Unique Positive 7-day rate

11.6% 7-Day Positivity Rate

VACCINE DATA

The ISDH reports that 3,287,689 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated, with 17,720 new residents fully vaccinated as of October 4, 2021. those vaccinated, include 53.8% being female, 45.9% male and .3% gender not identified.

Clay County reports 10,303 citizens fully vaccinated.
