COVID19 UPDATE: Clay County numbers fall below state average

According to the Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Dashboard, a total of 10,703 of the estimated 26,225 Clay County residents are fully vaccinated, with nine residents recently becoming fully vaccinated.

The ISDH reports that 3,379,245 of the estimated 6.8 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated, with 1,928 new residents fully vaccinated as of

November 8.

Of those Indiana residents vaccinated, 53.8% are female, with 45.9% male and .3% listed as unknown.

According to information from the Centers for Disease Control and

Prevention and other health officials, “herd immunity” would potentially be established when 60-70% of the population is vaccinated.

Clay City Pharmacy, 730 Main St., Clay City - Johnson & Johnson

Clay County Health Department, 18 North Walnut St., Brazil - Moderna and Pfizer

Most vaccination sites also accept walk-in appointments, but officials say registration is encouraged to ensure the appropriate dose is available at your chosen location.
